There is no option for that it only says

-Native IDE
-Raid
-Legacy IDE

Those are the only selectable options

I'm going to go look up ur BIOS options this seems somewhat familiar to a problem I had with my board....What revision of that board do you have?

Did you disable the onboard graphics?

See you have a combined mode...I think it's set to Enabled by default...since it will cause a problem similar to what you are describing

Also make sure you are set to S3 here

IF anyone can solve this i will be shipping them a 1TB drive (US only) . I am convinced its not the CPU or Motherboard. i am thinking its a setting making the CPU unstable with the Motherboard when installing/trying to load windows 7.

IF they can offer a solution (i.e trade for a cpu or motherboard that is guaranteed to work with this chip).i will be willing to barter it.

I am posting it for Trade in the Buy/Sell section.

If it can't be fixed i'll just start from scratch again.

You have a Cranky yet stable SB on that board.....SB600...I think your right...I think somehow it's a memory thing.....try 5-5-5-15 and bank recycle time tRC at 24 or 25

i had 16000 on my old system... Q6600 at 3.4 and 4 gb 1066 Gskill ram with a HD4870 512.... Your score seems low to me... But not by much. You should be at the 14 range.

My main concern at this point is the low scores but mainly why i can't install windows 7 at all.. and it takes forever to install an OS (vista clocked in over 2 hours)

Nope still taking a long time to install anything (as i told you i'd try it i just got to the product key screen for vista)

Clock for clock the Q6600 is slightly better than a 9850. The Q6600 and 9950 were toe to toe, but thats because the 9950 is 200mhz faster, and the more you OC it, the bigger that gap will be. My highest score ever on my 9850 at 3.2ghz with 2x 3870's was 15.4k.
