I’ve only had this card for 2 years. Suddenly started showing these artifacts and I don’t even game intensively. Temps are rarely over 50 when I play anything. These artifacts appear even outside of a game when I’m just browsing Chrome.

Artifacting is usually a VRAM issue. You can try lowering the memory clock. If it's only 2 years old can you RMA it?

2 and a half years. Sadly I don’t have the extended warranty.

What's the brand/model of the card? GTX1070 [Ti] had some shitty models that may have this behavior for reasons other than VRAM overclock or failure.

Zotac GTX 1070 ti Amp! Extreme
That's one of the decent ones. I'd start with thorough cleaning, good IPA bath and scrubbing to remove thermal pad boogers, definitely new thermal pads (2mm thickness according to Zotac).
If that doesn't help - your only hope is finding Intel DG1 or GT1030 as a temporary replacement...

DG1 isn't compatible with all boards. Requires specific support.

I guess it wasn't my GPU after all. After I replaced my motherboard everything started working properly again.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Close thread.
