My PC has been working for over a year, then the other day it just showed a black screen and the MB Q-code said b2 (legacy option rom initialization). I did the usual checks and everything was connected properly and restarted a couple of times. After trying all the basics I started taking out components to see if one was bad. When I disconnected the GPU and just used the iGPU it worked. I thought maybe GPU or Pcie slot was bad. I then tried a different GPU and it worked. I updated the MB bios and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10, GPU still didn't work, the fans spin like its working but still got a black screen and the MB Q-code said b2. I uninstalled the driver for the GPU and reinstalled newest driver still didn't work. After days of reading forums and guides I think the vbios is corrupt but I cant get it to boot with that GPU. I have tried uninstalling the diver and forcing it to use the IGPU, safe mode, bootable USB but if I have the GPU in I cant do anything. I did some mining with it back when it was profitable and I modded the GPU vbios but like I said it has been working for a long time since then. I'm out of ideas and would appreciate any help or ideas.
Thanks
Here is a list of my components.
GPU MSI RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC
MB ROG MAXIMUS VIII RANGER
PSU Rosewill Quark Series 1000W
CPU Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz
RAM G.SKILL Aegis 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Thanks
