So basically i bought a new gpu a gtx 1060 6gb and it needs an 8 pin cable, unfortunately my psu doesn't have any so i use a converter for 2 molex to 8 pin but i only use one of it, and whenever i tried to open a game it suddenly lost its signal to my monitor.

Is there anything i can do to fix this issue (ps. My psu is a 450w up to 500w max)

those power adapters arent inherently bad, but combined with a poor PSU, an under-powered GPU could do exactly what youre explaining is happening.

Beware this is for two molex them be connected at different pair of wires and nothing else be connected at its Molex wires chain.
PSU molex cable this could have two or four molex in series , for the VGA you must use one of them only.
From a second molex line you will use another one plug.

If everything fails, you should look for 750W nominal PSU.

upgrade your psu mate, the double molex can work with 2 diff feeds but i dont trust them, i many moons ago had the adapter melt and the earth and live touched and started a small fire , its rare but it do happen.

like everyone said.. you need atleast a 600W power supply to run everything nicely.

Your PSU doesnt have a 8pin cable means that it is not going to give any wattage on 12V. the 450W will mostly be on the 5V lines, which is a trick they use to scam people.
Change your power supply before you damage your GPU permanently.

1 - disregard anyone who says you need a 600w+ or even 750w, they have no clue to what they are talking about
2 - your current PSU is not a 450w or 500w unit, its a 230w unit with 144w of usable 12v power which is why your video card shuts down (shocked it doesn't create a spark show). The rest of the power is on the 3.3v with the majority of power on the 5v unfortunately modern PCs rely mostly on the 12v. You need to step away from that PSU and retire it to paper weight duty.
3 - a quality 450-550w will power your system with ease, I strongly suggest looking into TPU & Toms PSU reviews (same reviewer for both sites) for some guidance. I'm not sure what market you are in (my guess is India) so recommending brands that you may not have or may cost you an arm and leg is pointless without more information.

Throw that PSU in the bin and buy a half decent 400w+ PSU and you will be fine, I've used corsair builder series and Antec vp PSU's of similar wattage in the past with similar low pwered systems without issue, of course you're going to get the "buy a gold/platinum 600w PSU" people chiming in  though when you're paying more for your PSU than your whole PC is worth, then that doesn't really make much sense

Tom's reviews

And Tom's best PSU

You can also try jonnyguru for some older units but they stopped doing reviews about two years ago

So 600w is the ideal psu for my situation?
No that is not accurate, buying a bad 600w unit is worse then buying a good 450w unit. Your setup won't break 250w at peak gaming. If you can link an online store and a budget we can help you out but if you are shopping at your local shop then you need to research for yourself.

Working on it.... You helped me a lot thanks
Also one thing any good recommendations for budget cpu, I'm trying to get the price as low as possible maybe about $35 or maybe less and i use online shop but not a universal one

Since I'm an Indonesian myself might as well as answer this.

Just find a decent PSU from our online store bro. The cheapest but still decent one that I could find on the "green" store is Cooler Master Elite v4 500W for round 630k in our money. If you could add a bit, try to find Seasonic Core GC500 500W for around 1100k.

Btw, I don't mean rude but I think you got your priorities backwards in this upgrade. I know that 1060 wouldn't be cheap but rather than that, try to upgrade your entire system first. You stuck with pretty ancient Sandybrige that couldn't be everclocked plus still using harddrive at this age that's pretty suck bro.

600W is a sweet spot. I was in your situation 10 years ago, and was using bad local psus. And they kept breaking every few months. After that i got the corsair gs600 and it is running ever since.
The more power u get, the less stressed it will be while using and hence generally last longer.
Get a power supply from reputable brands like Corsair, Coolermaster, EVGA, etc. Check the reviews. A bad 600W one is going to be useless.

Don't use adapters for PSUs, if it's not designed that way, then it's not supposed to work that way

It wasn't the adapter, the PSU you are using has 12*12 = 144 W on the 12V rail. That's barely enough for the GPU let alone the entire system.

over the years ive had many PSUs some good some bad and some no one in the right mind should of brought, but now well for the past 10 years or so i realised that the PSU is the most important peice of the rig. if you can get a seasonic where you are it would be a good move or a Corsair M type what ever you get check the wattage on the 12v rail and make sure it adds up to 500w or more and has the right cables for your gpu.

Working on it.... You helped me a lot thanks
Also one thing any good recommendations for budget cpu, I'm trying to get the price as low as possible maybe about $35 or maybe less and i use online shop but not a universal one
according to your CPU support list, your "best" upgrade would be an i7 2600/3770. Depending on the game you may or may not see a difference in performance (you would need to research the exact game). As far as costs goes, in the USA even the non-K i7-2600 will go for over $50 used on ebay. You may want to start saving for an entire modern platform (CPU+mobo+RAM) upgrade at this point.

Alright working on it and I've got 4 psu in mind its between
Powerstation2 550 w
Gamemax gp 450 w
Digital alliance 500 w
Imperial 600 w
So which one is good for my situation

the powerstation2 has recalls on it
digital alliance uses an old platform
never heard of imperial 600w

all fall under the pure junk category

I've actually heard of Game Max but mostly for cases. That PSU seems to least use a DC-DC platform with most of it's power on the 12v rail, a step ahead of the others. It's also bronze rated (most likely for 25c) and I see no UL number on it so no clue who makes it. If you put a gun to my head of the PSU you listed I would take it otherwise I would keep on shopping.

I think you mean well but this is poor advice as proven by Azee post above. 600w is not a user "sweet spot" but rather a marketing sweet spot. Typically PSU that are 500,600,700w., are aimed at uniformed users looking for the most power as cheap as possible but are on mediocre platforms. In markets where the top brands don't exist these PSU can often be on ancient platforms (in tech terms) that may be dangerous or severely under powered for modern PC like Azee's powelogic special that markets itself as a 500w unit but it's doubtful it could hit 150w in a modern PC case at 45c.

"The more power u get, the less stressed it will be while using and hence generally last longer." is incorrect. The better power supply you get, the less stressed it will be allowing it to last longer.

i didn't realize CM was up to version four on that series. It's still 80 plus rating but they gave it an extra year in warranty and have it rated to 40c. I'm sure they are still using the same junk chinese caps though. I would get the 600w unit of the two. I would expect it to deliver it's full power at 40c while the caps last...which should be just past the warranty under normal use but still better then what you have.
