No actually, the first monitor which i paid for, he forgot he didn't have it any stock anymore, so he sent me a bigger monitor ( 24 inchs), it arrived today and despite the backlight being out or whatever, i can see for the most part just fine, games and movies, etc no problems despite the weird lighting.

I honestly dont'feel like sending it back, lazy idk lol, just don't feel like sending back a damage item. So, i ask him its up to him whatever he wants to do, send a refund or send another one. He hasn't got back to me yet, so i will see what he plans to do. If he doesn't refund it back, or send another one, or i have to send him the damage back, well I'm just going to forget the whole thing and just buy a brand new one when i get my tax.

Its really no money lost on my end if he doesn't send another one or money back because i paid the monitor with money i won at the casino haha.(won 200 bucks, only spent 30 dollars to win it, monitor only cost me 50 bucks)

I will see what he plans to do once he gets back to me.
Don’t let the seller get away with it. It seems like you aren’t confrontational, and that’s ok. The whole resolution can be done professionally per the rules in place without confrontation.

Do it for all the consumers.

He will probably ignore you. give him a few days to respond, if he doesnt then file a dispute with ebay. ebay might not even ask you to send the monitor back. full refund, partial refund. its still money back in your pocket and a strike on that guys account.

Yeah when they ignore you, then get ebay involved, i say this as shit does happen even to the best of people.

Should be able to get a full refund although you MAY have to send it back and to that point you just need to just get it done lol.

yeah that's backlight bleeding, have you tried setting the brightness to the highest
some monitors have problem when you set the brightness and contrast too high and too low

While i am waiting for him to get back to me, honestly I'm getting use to it. Been playing games perfectly fine, when gaming it doesn't show up as much and i barely notice it. Movies and tv shows too. But yea he does need to refund me, because even though the monitor works and it doesn't really affect gaming and watching shows, it is damage. And I will just hold on to the money until this monitor completely dies out, then buy a new one.

No it's not. If one follows the advice Ebay has made available to everyone, it's like buying anywhere else. Buying brand new from a store and you take a risk of defect.

Use the monitor for a karaoke setup, I think its gonna fit perfectly. Put Winamp visualizations behind and presto :D

If karaoke is your thing, of course.

Yea i left bad feedback, but it doesn't show up, but i did report him and i got my money back, so its cool.

Just an update though, despite the backlight being out or whatever, I'm still using the monitor haha. I got use to it i guess. Watching movies, playing games i can see the screen just fine. I see the problems more only when im at my desktop, but playing games and watching movies doesn't seem to show up that much. So I'm just going to use until it completely dies out and then buy a brand new one from the store.

This is kinda sad if you’re a legit seller though. It’s no secret Ebay will always take buyers' side. And there's enough bad faith buyers out there. But no countermeasure like there’s for bad faith sellers.
