So basically for the last couple of days I haven't been able to mget onto one of my favorite webcomics, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, at my university.
My school is too cheap to get it's own internet so we bum bandwidth off of another school, Wayne State University.
In an attempt to figure out why I couldn't get through to the site I did a pathping in the windows command prompt and I saw something interesting.
First, for reference i will post a pathping to a site that does work:
Notice the two bolded entries have wsu in the URL so I am assuming that they are servers associated with Wayne State University.
Now here is the path ping to the website I can't get to:
Notice how it drops the connection before it reaches what appear to be the Wayne State servers.
I admit that i do not know very much about networking, but does this mean that my school is blocking access to the site? Or am I completely off the ball?
Also regardless of whether my hypothesis is correct does anyone have an idea of a way to get through to the site, I have been looking at google's daily cache but that is very slow to load and I can't look at any part of the site except that day's comic.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
