I just installed a new card in order to run dual monitors. One output is vga and that line runs my monitor crystal clear. The other output is s-video and the monitor it runs is very blurry. Is that normal or did I do something wrong? By the way, the card has no other outputs. Thank you. Frank

S-video is low resolution compared to vga. So in comparison, yes it should be more blurry.

what a weird card...I've never heard of any just S-V cards...enlighten me as to what you're using? And yes, S-Video as said is supposed to be that way, it sucks as I can only use my Gamecube that way with my screen, but yeah.

Mainly good for watching movies with though the PC as the S video looks better and CRT \ LCD monitor.

on the s-video, it just depends on what your using it though. Yeah if your using it though a CRT monitor or TV. Then yeah it will look like crap. But I hadn't problem looking at it using a LCD monitor or TV. But I haven't tryed hooking up a dual monitor or to another tv, since i had the old 9250. lol

S-video isn't meant for monitors. Try playing a movie on the TV though, it'll look fine.

i got a normal no-lcd tv (27") and it´s very cool to play videos and playing games, it´s better than my 17" monitor, i can get 1024*768
i know it´s not HD but still it´s better than the resolution of ps2,gamecube xbox so it doesn´t suck so much as some say
so i prefer high screen even losing the fine details of monitors, who cares anyway??

i went and did some testing on my TV
(40" samsung LCD, native res 1366x768)
on PC, only 1024x768 (4:3) and 1366x768 (16:9) looked good - everything else was fuzzy and crap.
With the consoles, every res was fine (wii, original Xbox, nintendo 64) - while i did have to set them to 4:3 mode, even the wii at its odd resolutions (468P or something? 520P for highest??) everything was so much clearer than the PC settings (PC was tested on VGA, Composite and component - they all looked shit compared to VGA)
