Is the GTX 680 4GB Truly 4GB of memory?

Is the GTX 680 4GB variant truly 4gb deicated memory and not two 2GB memory merged together?

Its not a dual chip card so it will be a true 4gig of graphics memory

But the GTX 690 is dual 2GB to make it 4GB right?

standard 680 is 2GB iirc, so is the 690(@ 2 X 2 GB SLI doesn't see 4GB it sees 2GB). If it is a 4GB 680 listed its 4GB.

Can't play Maxpayne on 7xxx by 1444 resolution with a 680 2GB anymore lol.

there are 4GB GTX 680s on the market from many manufacturers. If you are having issues with the res, you got to go that route as SLI wont add any available ram
