I just got a $100 Gift Card to Best Buy, and I was planning to buy several things.
A game that I finalized my decision on is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, I'm getting it for sure.
But, there will be another $40 left, and I can either buy the Xbox Vision Camera or the Xbox VGA HD Cable. My Samsung HL-R5078W will accept 1920x1080 @ 60Hz (Progressive) through VGA, but not component. So, would it be worth it if I bought this cable, and played games at 1080p, or is there not much of a difference between 1080i or 1080p? I keep hearing these arguments that there's no difference if your screen is smaller than 60" (which mine is 50" thanks to the limitations of in-wall shelves). So, would it be worth it? Just for games, since I won't get the HD DVD for a few months or so...
And then again, the Xbox 360 Vision Camera. Just came out a few months ago, and it seems pretty nifty doubling as a PC Webcam as well, but not many games support it yet...only UNO, Totemball, and putting your face on Rainbow Six Vegas. That's about it. I also don't know any friends or relatives/cousins with the Xbox 360 Vision Camera, so Video Chat won't be used much by me yet...
Both of these items have Pros and Cons, for me at least, but I'm still stuck in choosing between the two.
Thanks,
