is there an option in bios to bump up cpu fan speed

i no every make of bios has different settings but in general is there an option to bump up my fan speed? as ive got a new rig for my uncle and his E5200 runs idle at 48-50 at 2.5 cheers guys

Which motherboard STE? Gigabyte's fan speed controls is in the PC Health Status section, same can be said for DFI. Abit's is in uGuru section of the bios.

thats guys but i dnt really want a program to run in the background as it aint my computer id rather an option in the bios or something like that and its an asus mobo

get an independant fan controller and hook it up to that instead of the mobo

Most of the time its under PC Health and stats then look under smart fan controll!!
