Is there any software for a laptop to run diagnostics

I am wondering if anyone has a software program or something that i can use my Portege on a jobsite and plug it into another computer and run diagnostics on that system from mine?:confused:

sort of, but just connecting and type a line or 2 of code (or exe would be nice w/o viruses) and have my laptop test you know the memory, h/d, and processor, etc.

to test that stuff remotely, i dont think its possible...

i think the only way you can test that stuff is if you take it all out and throw it into another laptop, or there is a program that you can install on the laptop that you want to diagnose and run it from there...

i use this at work to diagnose any computer, download the free trial. it does the job.
but you can only use it on the computer that you are trying to diagnose, it is not a remote program.

i just want to bypass all the extra hassle thats all, i just didnt know if someone knew anyway of doing that w/o installing anything the the computer that isnt working or w/o cds or cd drives

There are programs out there, but they are expensive, no freeware that I know of.
