Hi,
I would like to know if anyone knows a Online Hardware Store like NEWEGG where I can chose each components myself and can get a additional build-up service. I do not live in U.S but my son does, I would like to get a computer for him ready to use but with the right components.

Thanks for your help.

cyberpower.com, ibuypower.com, Dell can let you build/customize one of theirs. A quick google search should get you more too. Asus and HP too. Depending on what he wants to do with it, other here may chime in with parts picker builds.

Thank you, "ibuypower.com ", it's almost that, but I wish to have as much choice in components that on NEWEGG, I want to be able to chose the right CPU with the right Memory, with the motherboard of my choice, a GPU of my choice, SSD NVME, case and a PSU Seasonic.
Most of Online Shops in Europe offer these possibilities, so I was wondering if we can have similar services in US Online Stores. For PC Desktop, I will certainly never buy a brand like DELL, HP, ACER,...

Here some examples :

-https://shop.hardware.fr/configurateur/

These websites always have an option "MONTAGE" (ASSEMBLY)

I dont see why you wouldnt. They are good enough for many people, i know several people that owned a Dell, it could be a career changer, learning how to do upgrades, later on doing custom builds for everyone.

Find a trust worthy person here on TPU with a good heatware rating that buys and sells hardware here on TPU and see if you can make a deal with that person for you to buy all the parts, have the parts shipped to that person for them to assemble to computer, and they ship it to you son assembled and in working condition. Some people I would trust would be @EarthDog , @Norton , @cdawall , @Durvelle27 , @newtekie1 , and @kenkickr

I believe Microcenter provides building services.

One, I'm honored to be mentioned. Two, I'd totally do that for a small fee.

Here is a thought: Maybe have one of the many trusted TPU members build what you would like and then ship it to your son?

There are many members here, including myself, that would be more than willing to have all the parts shipped to them and build the system. Several of the members have great wire management as well.

I used to build alot of the custom rigs that came out of the Houston microcenter and wouldn't mind putting another together.

You did not say where your son lives. If near a decent size town, I would have him look for a local computer shop that's been around awhile and have them put one together for him. Many shops will let you pick and buy the parts from NewEgg, Amazon, etc. and they assemble it and install the OS for a small fee. For example, we do custom PCs like that here for $50 to $100, depending on type computer (integrated graphics or card, number of drives, etc.). Installing the OS, Office, etc. will cost a little extra.

We help them pick the best parts for their personalized needs. We assume responsibility to ensure all the chosen components are compatible before purchase. I know many small shops do something similar.

We do things a little different here in that once the parts come in, the new owner puts it all together with us standing over their shoulder - if they want that. In this way, they learn about ESD, how to handle and install RAM, understand the many different PSU connectors, etc. and they become familiar with the components. They can install and setup the OS and their security that way too. Or, we will do it all, their choice.

There are many advantages to having someone local assemble it for you. For one, they are local! For another, no shipping charges and no worries it will fall off the back of the FedEx truck. If there are problems, you (or your son) will have someone local they can look in the eye! If there are problems, your son can take it to the local shop and show them the problem instead of trying to explain it over the phone to some Level 1 tech who only knows how to follow a check list.

I'll throw my hat in this ring also, having built all my own rigs (and my sons & newphew's gaming rigs) for many, many years, as have alot of the members here.

I have along history on these boards, however most of my buy/sell activities are usually on (H)ard and/or Anandtech's site. My heat will speak for itself :)

I would definitely need to know the final destination though (son's house/apt etc) to get an idea of the shipping costs, and whether I would be buying the parts directly, or if the OP would buy them and send them to me....

Hundreds actually but most of the majors are more about separating you from your money. My suggestion, ask for a recommended build here on the forums for your budget, and then find a local mom and pop shop to do the assembly for ya. If you were local, it would be easy .... we have been building, or better said, our preferred method of looking over the shoulder so to speak while you build, using our tools all **free of charge** for 25 + years. It's been a bonding experience with my kids (21, 27 and 28) with most "users" coming from schools and colleges my sons attended, our work and professional colleagues, relatives and their friends. If you're around NYC, we are about 60 miles east on Long Island. Most days are good except college football Saturdays.

Thanks everyone for all of your answers.
My son is living in Ulen Minnesota, not much shops around there... Nearest big city is Fargo...
I have finally decided to buy for his Christmas a good Laptop with a 4 or 6 core CPU and at least a 1060/70 MaxQ 15.6 or 17" IPS screen, but just can't decide yet which brand
