Just wondering whether this is a 5700 reference design?

More importantly, can it be flashed to a 5700 xt?

Yes it is reference, it can only be flashed if there is a 5700XT gigabyte bios that matches, I just did 2 xfx 5700 Double Dissipation ultras and made them both 5700XT thic2 ultras.

I will help you flash when you are ready.

Thanks. I don't have the card yet, but I'm thinking of buying it for my HTPC as it is the cheapest version out there.
I likely won't get it, if it can't be flashed though. How would I find out whether there is a 5700XT bios that matches?

Well that is a luck of the draw with any card out there but being a reference design it shouldn't be nearly as hard as it is on some of the third-party design cards

it was just by Chance i was able to do it to the cards at by XFX and those are third party.

my graphics card if some of the compute units were not laser cut I could have made it into a 290x Vapor X.

The major difference is with this you will be using the command prompt to flash a card and I do have the proper command for it now

As a matter of fact I know I can make your 5700 into an XT really easy.

A couple of questions to OP

1) Are you planning to cool that card with another/better heatsink? Cause reference 5700s run very hot and very loud like vacuum cleaner on low rpm...
2) Is this card going into the i5 system or the R5 system? If its for the i5 then the 1080Ti in there is slightly better overall, for now. If its for the R5 then that PSU its not for such a card. You need at least a quality 550W.

would like to know it too, i was gonna pay for used ref one, xt saphhire pulse, around $350, but im afraid my pc will blowup, i dont have much good aircooling system, only 2fans instalment, and yes im used 500watt psu, ntw sry fpr hijacking op thx
