Hey guys!
Anyway, I'm looking at building a rig for a friend.
Almost all of the hardware is already purchased but now I'm having some anxiety about the power supply we went with.
We chose the MSI MPG A 1000G PCIE 5
Is 1000w going to be enough for the following hardware?
Intel i7 13700k
Nvidia 4080 FE
Asus Maximus Hero z790
Samsung 990 Pro 1tb
4 120mm Case Fans (Meshify 2)
Noctua u12a's two fans.
Won't be doing any overclocking.
I know the mobo is kind of overkill, but it's already purchased, along with everything but the case/cpu.
He might be willing to bump down to the i5 13600k if the current psu isnt enough. There isn't much option to return the powersupply as he wants to stick
with a PCIE5 model, which are hard to find around here. That's why we quickly swooped up the MSI MPG when it came in stock.
Whenever I've used various online power calculators, they all seem to recommend around 850-900 for this setup, so I'm hoping 1000 is enough.
Thanks for any advice!
