I work for mushkin, not corsair short of ripping the heatspreaders off theres no real easy way to know what ICs the modules are using.

Thats funny - I just got on this site to ask the same question. I just ordered a pair myself... and I don't even have a DDR2 motherboard! LOL

Seems to be two versions of the memory:

TWIN2X2048-6400C4PRO* 4-4-4-12 1T
TWIN2X2048-6400PRO 5-5-5-12-1T

I'm assuming the Bestbuy deal is for the latter, but both still get great ratings on Newegg (and cost $350!!!).

Just wish I had the damn coupon when I ordered it - and BTW it is backordered, expected delivery 24Oct06.

Edit - the coupon is for in-store only.. no stores near me have it... (and I *think* it's 1T - I saw that somewhere...)

Oh and Ketxxx - I should have listened to you a few months ago when I asked about DDR2- 800. The Mushkin RAM you reccommended was $254 at the time, now it's $350 or so (I think!), along with all other ram prices going up. I'm a sell-out.

my store didn't have it either but I purchased the item yesturday and used my coupon at the same time to lock in the deal. I have to go pick it up when they get it but from what I hear I got a pretty dam good deal. lol if you look on there site now it's sold out

Seems like Corsair has man different version of 1 part. PT. LL. XMS.. they are all same
