Hardware is making a comeback. It's good for the economy. It's good for us. Might not be so good for Apple.

Hardware is back on the menu, boys. Don't take our word for it. No less authority than The New York Times says: "On Tuesday, Intel, the world’s largest PC chip maker, reported the highest first-quarter sales, $10.3 billion, and profit, $2.4 billion, in its history. After digesting Intel’s results, a number of Wall Street analysts said on Wednesday that the PC market could grow as much as 25 percent this year.

Also on Wednesday, the research firm Gartner said worldwide PC shipments climbed by 27.4 percent in the first quarter compared with a year earlier, surpassing expectations by more than 5 percent."

Yup, let's hope it buries Apple and the Jobs reality distortion field isn't strong enough to overcome common sense.

Yeah, funny that. You can bet your boots that if Linux were to somehow prevail (yeah, sure ) it would be horribly corrupted by vested corporate interests. So one loses whichever way they turn, just less in some directions eg Windows.

Also, Apple is using some of this same hardware that PC users use now. It (Apple Macs) even runs windows and MS loves that!

They just need to let go of their proprietary nature and free their people.

IMO; Apple is afraid to compete in a non-proprietary field of competition.
Sorta, like it is my stadium and I will make the rules. This way when you come to watch Apple play, you will pay thier rates/price for tickets, concession and or items not allowed in the stadium.

That it's the same CPU is irrelevant. It's the way they lock down their products with propietary DRM to force their fanbois who pay them lots of money, to live in a straightjacket. That's what's wrong with Apple and why I won't touch their products.

Guys please understand that it isn't Apple VS M$, the real battle is between Linux and Mac OS's.
Trends for Android based mobile OS's are fantastic considering Apple's headlock on the smartphone market.
