Ok bare with me on this one because I am completely confused with what is going on with my network system.
I turned on my computer and aparently it had ran windows update and was installing updates. When I logged on there was no message of no internet connectivity. When I tried to browse the web I had no internet. I opened up my network settings and it said I was connected to the internet. When I ran the diagnoses it said that it could not connect to the DNS server. I restarted and did the normal stuff but still no connectivity to the internet. I then proceeded to recover my previous settings and take off this new update. Again no connectivity. I then uninstalled my LAN driver and reinstalled... Nothing. I have come to a dead end and still no internet. I tried just plugging the same ethernet cord into my laptop and it worked!!!! but it wont work on my desktop.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
