I bought AVATAR off Steam last night as kind of an impulse buy. The movie previews look so amazing that I couldn't stop myself from the chance to play the game already. I played it for about an hour or so and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to playing more tonight.
I'm not sure if it is an issue with my rig or maybe it is slated for a future patch, but the DirectX part of the graphics options was shaded out leaving me with only DX9. Even so the game looks gorgeous. Put Deadspace, Crysis, Mass Effect, and Conan in a blender and the result graphics-wise is an Avatar smoothie.
About an hour or so into the game you have to choose sides... making for contrasting gameplay a second time around. I chose human first time around.
Anyone else getting this or already have it?
