Welcome to TPU!

Don't worry about not having the latest high-end stuff. We all wish we had but not as many can afford the time and money. Though it's not my main rig, I have a working pc with these specs:

Processor: Celeron 333Mhz Mendocino
Ram: 128MB DDR SDRAM PC100
Graphics: Nvidia Vanta 16MB (AGP)
Motherboard: Soltek SL-62C
Sound Card: Aztech AZT 2320 (ISA)
HDD: Samsung 5400rpm 6GB.

Oh yes you do. ;) The older and more embarrassing it is the funnier it'll be. Come on, give us a laugh! :toast:

Uhg.....*sigh**

Well , ok , but I'll warn ya.....it aint pretty.

Right now , what I'm using is the same rig I helped put together about 6 - 7 yrs ago. It's old biostar board which i can't even remember what model ( TF-502? or something like that ). 4200 amd AM2 , Evga 7800GTX , 2GB patriot ram ( I think? ) 3X40gb WD HD's.....for a whopping 120gb!

Believe it or not though , when I started playing around with some of the older games like halflife2 original farcry1 and doom 3 , it plays them extremely well. Honestly.....those are the newest game titles I have as of right now. Anything that has come out over the past 6 7 years.....I never bought because this thing would be like playing a slide show. Actually , Doom 3 pushes it pretty hard.

Dude I like that big white Case-labs TH10.

Never seen that before, but had that design in my head. 1-1/2 wide case with mobo in the middle. Was thinking I would design and build my own some day. :wtf:

Guess I don't need to do that now.

Welcome.

Oh shoot Clubber, it's not nearly as low-end and embarrassing as I'd hoped, lol.

Now, BP's effort is what I'm talking about. A 333MHz Celery is unbelievably slow. And can you tell which OS it's running? Yes, that screenshot gives it away: Win98! Heck, this thing is so old, that it's actually got Classic Status and is cool again.*

BP: What on earth are you running on it! :)

*Actually, Celerys were never cool, so it's first time round, unless it's one of those awesome ones that could do 450MHz?

Right now, Crysis :p nothing. Before I had put it just as an offline backup pc for office work, and later I enjoyed running the first Prince of Persia and Jill of the Jungle on it. Brought me nice memories....

I never overclocked it. It's history was... I found it abandoned on the pavement, waiting for the rubbish collectors... and took pity on it!

I knew I should of kept my old Voodoo 3 card. I think it was 16MB? I just tossed that sucker about a year ago. I still have like a good 150-200 games here though. Some are from like 96-99 I think.

BP....your old rig is awesome! It goes to show how durable some of these old rigs can be. The rig I'm running right now , replaced my Amd XP2100 , Ge-force 4600TI , 1GB ram machine. It still runs except for the PS just went out in it about a month ago , and I just picked up a TL 500W psu to replace the old bad one. Should be up and running again soon.
