keyboard help

Hello everyone, I hope you are well, I will try to be brief, they gave me a jyr brand keyboard that is damaged, the previous owner told me that the part of the cable where the usb goes had broken so I cut it but I did not fix it, I disassembled it and decided to replace the cable with one from a mouse that no longer worked solder everything I was guided by the color of the cables according to the mouse plate V D + D- and G (negative) but at the time of connecting it only the LEDs light up the keyboard and it doesn't work and neither did Windows recognize it, what could it be? or am I doing something wrong?

Opting to use cables from two devices that were known to be broken seems like where I would start. Cant be more than a few dollars to get another known crap mouse or keyboard to salvage a known working cable from.
