I was wondering if someone has an e2160, e2180, e2200 etc that they are done with, and that is extremely good at overclocking. Like 3.8ghz+ I don't mind running 1.5V :D

Sorry to crap here but is that under water with 1.6V?

Bump for the buyer...working with the same CPU good luck in your hunt!

yep lol, the loop I sold off here on TPU (EK Supreme, Black Ice Xtreme Rad, D5 Pump)

was reaching 70C at 1.6V... crazy, but it was stable! I got a boot at 4.0, but it crashed once I started up core temp...

Careful my mobo can boot a 550FSB with the right CPU , and I can boot 400X6 and no other muti with this E2200. I say you may have better luck with the E21XX's.

Right now Im working at 3.3 with 1.5V to stablize it. Im looking to go farther, but temps may be what stops me...this new Xig 1283 loads Orthos at 58*C now!

seriously tho they are cheap enough new arent they?

i found an e2140 that can hit 3ghz (from 1.6) on stock. do you guys imagine that it would be able to go alot higher with voltage bumps? my e2200 needs like 1.45 to get to 3ghz

Depends really , does it have room to add voltage to keep pushing it?
What are temps at 3.0GHz?

Ask the seller all of this, if the values are low than there is a chance that good ram and a clockable mobo could imrove it. If the voltag say is 1.5V or higher its unlikely, same with temps at load!

if you have trouble you can raise the voltage, but some cpus can overclock further on lower voltages, from time to time. might be worth a try

yeah with phase... no air cooler is going to get you anywhere near 4 ghz... temperatures are just unimaginable

and from what I've seen with some processors is that if they overclock well at stock volts, you'll probably hit a wall early on which you can only scale with crazy voltage (or the person just isn't stress testing)

i run a 2180 at 3.5 350x10 with 1.55volts under a tuniq tower. runs a bit warm but i could careless if that chip dies in 1 year. only paid $75 for it.

meh, I think I might try and upgrade to a quad... want mine? 3.7 on water... 2.8 on stock volts

its got a nice 1.2375v VID]

edit: oh yeah, btw it was lapped up to 800 grit, not a mirror finish... but close to it, and it dropped temperatures 5-10 degrees 0_0!
