Translated with google translate from Dutch to English:

"The known overclocker Kingpin has once again managed to write a special record to his name. With four Nvidia Titan X graphics cards , which obviously comes to the new iteration based on the Pascal-architecture, the existing records were in 3DMark Fire Strike and Fire Strike Extreme it.

All four cards running at a clock speed of 2200 MHz, more than 55 percent higher than the standard frequency. The GDDR5X memory was provided with a hefty overclock: 1250 MHz to 1470 MHz. For all the graphic violence to drive, there is also some horsepower needed to power processor, which Intel Core i7 6950X 10-core CPU was deployed at 5227 MHz. Of course, the processor was cooled with liquid nitrogen. The rest of the set-up consisted of an EVGA X99 FTW motherboard-K, a Supernova T2 1600W power supply of the same brand and TridentZ G.Skill DDR4 memory.

The score in 3DMark Fire Strike stood at 47 621 points , while Fire Strike Extreme 40.115 points left note. Both results can of course directly if the world records book. In comparison, a GeForce GTX 1070 has a 'lean' 7,961 points in FSE. Unfortunately, these scores are now only fun for the benchmarks: from the Pascal-generation Nvidia 3- and 4-way SLI for normal mortals disabled .

What a surprise, the world record is broken by 4Way SLI on 4 most expensive GPUs out there.

In other news, when the sun doesn't shine, it's usually night time or cloudy weather.

Or a Solar Eclipse but me and @carex think that's faked because the moon is much smaller than the sun so how can it block the sun!?! :p

Is it too much to ask to have that much processing power in a smartphone in say 5 years from now? :D

Massive score and incredibly impressive!! If you are not impressed by this, I wouldn't call you an enthusiast.

So what if it was only stable enough to do it once... or it was on LN2.... or it was using four of the most expensive cards in the world?!!!!! Nobody in here, including myself who has a lot of LN2 and competitive overclocking experience, could do that. 99.99% of the users here don't have the chops to get close to him. Don't kid yourselves... respect! :)

That's the thing. He's just the first guy to put 4 of these cards in SLI, there's nothing special about this score or his OC on these cards, not even the OC on CPU is anything noteworthy.

So he scores high on a mediocre OC with 5k+ worth of hardware. Wooptiedoo?

I wonder if he actually uses the cards for something as you can only do two way SLi in games. I really really hope he does something useful with them.

He's not the first... the next person behind him is at 38K. The clocks are also the best of the rest. Granted, only four people, but, that is $6K worht GPUs dude.. did you expect a bunch of people doing that? Will it be beaten? I would bet so, sure.

http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark_-...Id=videocard_2740&cores=4#start=0#interval=20

I'd like to see you get one Titan XP to 2200MHz, none the less 4 (which, for those that may not know, you lose top end when you SLI... none the less 4 cards).

http://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark_-...card_2740&start=0#interval=20#cores=1#start=0

As far as the CPU clocks... again, look below at WPrime... 5.3GHz. That is just about as stressful as the CPU tests here in 3DMark and around the same length of time. ;)

http://hwbot.org/benchmark/wprime_-...d=processor_4601&cores=10#start=0#interval=20

So, again, while I am sure it will be beaten, it is pretty impressive as it stands. :)

The hobbyt of benchmarking is useful to him and those that participate. Think of it as a nerdy way to modify a car and race it. That's all its for. :)

I don't follow Kingpin but he is sponsored by EVGA. I imagine EVGA provides the cards and other support for his efforts and possibly he returns the cards to EVGA after setting the records.

This is correct, Vince is sponsored by EVGA and works with them in development, among other things. I am sure these are some of the better cards he has along with a binned in some manner CPU. The World record so far for a 6950x is 5.7GHz. That is likely only with a couple of cores active and nothing running against it. 5.2GHz+ with all cores is a very respectable clock for that CPU and this benchmark.

Since you can't use 4 cards for games, I now have a bit more interest in things like this. There is no "but can it play Crysis?" because everyone knows the answer is NOPE. :p

Broadwell-E 6950X isn't exactly a great clocker. Out of the three chips I've had, only one does 4.4 GHz for 24/7 use. That tells me there was much time spent on binning CPUs. We all know Kingp1n spent time binning the vgas too, so kudos to him for getting the rewards from that time spent chasing the record and then smashing it pretty hard.

5.2 is without a doubt a sub ambient cooled 6950x.

Also, he was 2200 mhz on the gpu.

Read the excerpt... that tells you both things. :)
