The HyperX Fury RGB SSD features full RGB control using 75 bright LEDs, which, once connected to the RGB header of your motherboard, can be adjusted to the exact color and brightness you want to match other components in your system perfectly.

Im weary of Kingston after they got caught switching out the type of memory chips on their SSDs to something shittier after sending the proper samples to reviewers and reviewers done their reviews.

I would rather just buy mx500 and use some 3rd party rgb strips on it if someone forces me to use rgb lightning. Thought even with gun point I rather take the bullet than use any silly lightnings.

Also higher power consumption related to the RGB bedazzlement compared to other brands.

Higher Temperatures

Legit Reviews said:
The HyperX Fury RGB actually ran cooler at idle with the RGB lights off, but when we turned the RGB functionality on the temperature jumped from 24C to 51C. When we ran the 27GB file copy to the Fury RGB SSD the temperature increased just slightly up to 54C. So, once the RGB lighting is enabled the Fury RGB SSD will run hotter that one might think.

uh why buy this pos when Samsung 860 EVO 500gb is only around 80 bucks and is much faster AND offers 5yr warranty?

I am sure most people buy a ssd because it offers faster transfer rate and not turning their computer into a billboard in some red light district

Well, the superior MX 500 currently costs 65€ for 500GB or 125€ for 1TB.
Why is Kingston still even a thing? Thats ridiculous.

Youtube tech bloggers. Twitch streamers. Cyber athletes, - Kingston use them as a cheap but very effective ads platform. Kids looking. Parents buying.

I don't think they can find much slower TLC chips than in this.
But this drive looks like perfect candidate for switching to pretty much analog storage QLC, with its need to distinguish between 16 charge/voltage levels to avoid corruption of cell's data.

This product is aimed at the 1% who have no taste.
I think you're greatly underestimating percentage of consumers living in assmosis with butt of marketing.

When i say 'Switching' i mean switching out the chips for something more inferior... In this case maybe QLC. Because once the reviews are out. people will buy their product thinking they are getting what the review said they are getting but in reality they arent.

Obviously, RGB SSD is made for cases that has SSD cages on PSU shroud. Horizontal or vertical even better. Quite many of them.

Yeah I know that point, just wanted to say from my point of view. :D I have my third case now where the SSD goes behind the motherboard tray.
