I thought of this. Now assume this is not an April Fool's joke and the news is true. Should Hard OCP continue to review Intel's competitors' products and be fully trusted? Not questioning the man's integrity or promise that the site will continue to run independently, and reviews unaffected, but no doubt that a founder of the site will wield influence (perhaps not actively but passively, reputation wise) on future reviewers/reviewers from the site. I mean, would a reviewer give Intel an easier pass because of (human) bias, however slight that can be? Or, how would one's employer such as Intel, receive the news that the site recommends a competitor's product over Intel (such as the next gen AMD Ryzen CPUs), or NVIDIA's discrete GPU over Intel upcoming GPU? Would there be some "pressure"...?

I think I would still continue to trust the site reviews, but will scrutinize the reviews more deeply.

This is the boat I am in. Once the announcement was made I was like "shit, what now?". I've been on the [H] forums since the early 2000's and it was the only forum I went to. The reason I came to the TPU forums is because I've been coming to the site for a long time because I feel it has better reviews on hardware.
