Well, now that I'll be starting my major at A&M University, I need to invest in a laptop for my studies and course work. I'm majoring in Construction Science, so I'll be using programs like AutoCAD and the familiar.
I would appreciate any advice on which laptop(s) I should be looking at for this type of work.
I guess my budget would be $1000, and it needs to be something portable (lightweight), so a full keyboard w/ number pad would not be recommended. My dad also has Dell credit, so maybe something directly from Dell would be cool, but I know the cost of the laptop will not directly reflect the value as compared to places like Newegg, but it's whatever...
I may want to put an SSD in it, but I don't know if that'll be wise since the programs I'll be using will probably eat up that space pretty quickly... Thoughts on this?
Thanks for the help!
