Hi,

[[[First off all - if my post is placed in not a good area / please move. (thanks in advance)]]]

I have Lenovo Legion Y720 laptop as described in title - and i have Code error 43. I already tried absolutely all, without succes.
In GPU-Z i see incomplete details about my Nvidia GTX1060 6Gb. In my opinion is bios crash .... or need reballing.
Please help me. I attached what i see in GPU-Z.
I also try 5 version of old bios for motherboard. Nothing happen. Now i have the latest version of bios in motherboard. I dont know exactly if all happen when i made bios upgrade.
Also its possible to made backup my video card with NVFlash? I try and i have message Eeprom not detected... if its necessary i will post screenshoot.
Its also possibe to do flash to this gtx integratet on lenovo mainboard laptop?
Thank you in advance

Did you buy the laptop new or used, was it working previously in your hands? When did code 43 occur?

What were you doing when you got error 43?

no that sacared me , and i don't how to do???

You don't, you give to a PC reapir shop and they'll do it. Anyway, I doubt that would fix this, these modern GPUs don't fail because of this, something else is damaged. Sadly I don't think there is any practical solution to this. I guess it's a reminder to be more wary of used hardware, only buy stuff locally that you can test before.

Such a suggestion for any reballing usually means "throw the damn broken thing away, buy a new one"! :)
Or better -- you should really purchase a desktop PC for gaming, not a laptop.
Laptops really do not cut it, unless it is one of those that costs 6+ times the price of a comparable desktop PC, and even then it is not guaranteed it won't decide to die.

EDIT: Also, as last but not least please note with a desktop PC you can choose a much larger display size than laptops, i.e. you are not limited to 15", 17" most gaming laptops have but can use a much larger 27", 30"/etc monitor - and also choose between standard or widescreen one (usually not an option with laptops) -- or maybe just use a TV of any size - 40", 50"/etc - as your monitor. Of course, this is assuming desk/table space allows it. :)

Anyway, info on reballing here:

I had this exact same problem where half of the nvidia gpu "fell out". I bought a replacement MB and installed it and its now working 100% again. Caveat: you have to flash your computer serial etc in order to have nerve sense etc working (i have the sw but am not near home atm so will only be able to share link to it in a few days). Its usually done by repair shops, etc (usually the only ones having access to it). I searched high and low until i found it @ some odd forum a while back.

Hi

Got mine from AliExpress and paid ~280 usd:

Installation was quite easy also :) as always, just snap a few photos in order to reverse it

As i remember it, screws were mostly identical also.

Yeah, its a fair reaction actually :-D

I couldn't just let it sit in the box catching dust (even if it would work decently well as an iGPU only laptop) so i eventually took the crazy route and swapped the MBs. While far from the hottest GPU out there, it works superbly for my rather modest gaming chores.

Well that’s all that matters! I mean I am one to talk, I collect and buy retro hardware in original boxes for no point at all but my own enjoyment lol. Yours was actually meaningful!
