Latest Bios for old MSI GTX 780

Hi can anyone assist me?
My son has donated to me a
MSI GTX 780
(GPU GK110 revsion B1)
the current BIOS version is
80.80.21.00.77
The "Release Date" according to GPU-Z was
May 23, 2013
(I don't know if this refers to the card or the BIOS)

Anyone know if there is a more recent BIOS
&, if so, where can I download it from?

It already has the latest bios I believe, though gpu bios' don't generally change anything major between versions. Just leave it be.

Did you look on the MSI webpage for that card to see what the latest versions are?

The card is old (2013) & I would prefer to buy a new GPU
but that is not going to be possible with the current market

Is it possible you mean driver & not bios? I see you linked a bios .rom, but updating a firmware or bios is usually done to fix a problem, & its only advisable to do if you know what youre doing. Meaning if you have to ask, you probably shouldnt mess with it unless it already doesnt work

But that still doesn't answer why you want to update the BIOS. Even if you find a later BIOS, one small mistake can brick the card permanently.

The best place to look is likely MSI's website. You can also look in the TPU BIOS database available at the links on top.

No I did mean BIOS
What I should have asked is
if the current BIOS version the latest
80.80.21.00.77
I have the latest driver
I am getting the odd glitch
such as in a Unity game having the daytime
sky appear as black
Possibly a RAM problem
(the GTX 780 "only" has 3GB)
Not a big deal but thanks

Don't mess with the bios. That won't fix your issue.

Downclock the vram a little and see if that helps. Does it do this in all games or just Unity related?
