Well been though 3 Razer mice over 30 months and to me thats way to many so hoping to be able to find a good one that will last longer than the average 9 month. And had enough of the cheap plastic they use which courses double clicking.

I do love the Diamondback due to optical placement, shape and buttons but buying a 3rd one would be foolish i feel.

Requirements
Mouse wheel
side buttons
top buttons optional

Nice and Thank You.. 2 year warranty too :p. I'll wait see if some one posts some thing else though as seen as egg don't stock them no more :(.

Erm no....My 3rd Razer is that mouse and it's been a pain it courses all kinds of odd things in games when it feels like it. And the middle mouse buttons failing which don't supprise me as other razer mice fail button wise.

Although the double click can be solved with a thin layer over the switch but don't last long same goes with the middle button too.

There are lots of ambidextrous mice. Mines is the steelseries kinzu but the xai is infinitely better, the kinzu i just got because it was cheaper it doesn't have a laser like the xai does.

Presumably so, because he would get a "normal" mouse otherwise.

Yes, i use my left hand on the left side of the keyboard :). Although with a wireless mouse i use it in front of the keyboard sideways or at the left side of the keyboard. I can even use a mouse perfectly even if the screen is tilted 90 degrees but for the hell of me cannot use my righthand the same way :|.

Why how do you use a lefthanded mouse ? :p.

As some one has been asking me about if they got the right mouse i thought i would make a most here even if the thread is old.

Anyways i got a 4th Razer mouse which was a RAZER Lachesis which i got of a forum member some time ago which failed left button started to go but the sensor started to stop working and some times it just went jumpy and to fix it until next time was to un plug it.

Actually got a steelseries Xai i believe it was back in 2012 which sadly all so failed due to left click syndrome which was about 6-7 months in to the 1 year warranty which was replaced by SS with a Sensei which in turn all so failed but warranty had finished.

After taking it apart i noticed the plastic of the switch had been grinding leaving a fine dust around the switch and removing as much of that and cleaning the switch as much i could with isopropyl solved the issue for some time and basically wash and repeat to make it work again how ever i all so noticed that the plastic that you press down was becoming indented which all so makes a mouse double click which silver foil can help how ever the indent will become bigger over time.

Early this year thinking that i did not even have a mouse working from SS for at least a year i thought i would see if i could get the plastic part from them and they just told me to fill out a RMA, i though what the hell so i did knowing the mouse was way out of it's warranty time they excepted the RMA and plan to send one apparently although it's been 3 weeks and say they are looking to it still lol.

COMMENT:

HI, it's been some time i got a XIA mouse from you guys and was replaced a few months later due to double clicking, you sent me a Sensei which failed after the warranty with the same issue.

Now having a closer look at this mouse the plastic that pushes against the switch is indented which suggests the plastic is to soft. The mouse was used a lot but was never miss treated.

Anyways i like to know if there is any way i could get the top part of the case\shell ?.

At this time i have stopped buying your mice as a 1-2 year warranty is just not long enough ( not when this problem common ) even more so when some ones paying $100 for a mouse to fail 6 months in and be replaced with another to just to do the same thing after the warranty.

Knowing that the warranty is over although the mouse has been failing about 6-8 months of having it, i just wanted to know if i could get the failing part.

  • This ticket has been approved for an RMA!

Your RMA ticket is #269535, which is the same as your request #. You should have also now received the full RMA instructions in a separate email. If you did not, it most likely went to spam/junk mail so please check those folders as well.

If you do not have the email, please respond and we'll re-post the instructions.

We will not be able to ship out your replacement until you select a valid shipping address from your account. Please follow the steps below to successfully add your address and select it for this ticket.

    1) Please proceed to the following link to add your address to your account. If you have already added your address, you may skip this step.
This information is absolutely critical to your RMA shipment. If the information is incorrect and your item ships to the wrong address, we will be unable to re-ship, so please ensure this information is 100% accurate.

    2) Please proceed to the following link to select the address you have on file. You will be selecting the address you want the product shipped to. This only applies to this ticket. Any additional RMA tickets you have open or on file with already selected addresses will not impact this ticket. You will confirm the address by pressing the big orange SAVE button. Pressing the button will direct you back to this ticket and update it on your behalf.
Our goal is to get you your new product as fast as possible once we receive your defective unit.

To ensure the fastest turnaround time possible, we strongly recommend that after you ship, and know the package has been received on our end, that you respond to the ticket and notify us just in case.

Unfortunately there are plenty of things out of our control that can go wrong either on the shipping or receiving end of things which can severely delay your RMA being processed, and we cannot actively track your shipment due to the sheer volume of packages that we deal with. This means that if there is a shipping or receiving delay (even if we did receive the package and our warehouse does not notify us), we won't be able to process your RMA unless you let us know to look into it, by responding to the ticket.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and most importantly your support of SteelSeries!

    Regards,

    SteelSeries Support

SteelSeries
  • Hey

We have not yet heard back from our warehouse that your product has arrived at their location. Sometimes it takes an extra day or so for the warehouse to report back that the package was received. This is almost always due to a large volume of received shipments coming into the warehouse.

    Best Regards,

    SteelSeries Support

SteelSeries
  • Hello

We have confirmed that your product has arrived at our warehouse!

Our next step is to verify the defect and examine the contents of the package. We will contact you again shortly to let you know that your replacement product or originally non-defective item has been added to our outgoing shipping list . This process usually takes between 1-3 days, but may take longer depending on volume.

In the meantime, we highly suggest you double check that your address is added to your account and that the information is absolutely correct. If you have already done so, thank you! Canadian Residents: Please fill your PROVINCE in for the STATE field or your RMA will not be processed.

If you haven't already done so, please verify and select your shipping address here:

Once we verify the contents of the package, we will ship that same day. If there is an error in the address information you have provided it will cause delays to your service time and you will be notified.

We do NOT ship back to the address given on the package that was sent in. We ONLY ship to the address registered to YOUR account.

We appreciate your patience and understanding!

    Regards,

Zowie AM and FK series are ambidextrous and feature side buttons for both left and right handed. I have previously used razer and roccat devices, zowie has been much more reliable while giving better performance and being cheaper.

well i guess i should of added i don't need one now as i just though fck it and just got a Logitech G700s with a 3 year warranty for $50 and chances are if some thing goes wrong with it i will not have to send it back which to me is just more savings lol.

And hopefully if this G700s does fail my SS Sensei will be here by then so i will have a back up. Just glad i am a claw grip user as the G700s would not be usable lol.

@AsRock I'm curious why you wanted a left handed mouse over a symmetrical one?

I'm right handed and am perfectly happy with a symmetrical mouse. Currently using the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical - the one with the cool red light at the back.

@AsRock I'm curious why you wanted a left handed mouse over a symmetrical one?

I'm right handed and am perfectly happy with a symmetrical mouse. Currently using the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical - the one with the cool red light at the back.

Mainly due to the warranty over the last 6 years mouses have always fails nearly same way left click only Razer failed me another way lol.

Were most mice made for left and right handed people tend to have a 2 or less warranty and having 4 Razer mice which do come with a 2 year warranty these days ( only a year before )i just don't want to buy a 5th item from them just to get used to it and fail all over again and be in the same shit hole.

I have a MS optical blue ( glow red LMAO ) here and i think it's horrid to start with the mouse wheel is just plain nasty for fps games. Button clicks are nice i will say that but that wheel would have me swapping weapons and in arma having me jumping out of some thing to my death haha, although my wife would get a giggle with that lol.

Yeah, that's the newer version and it's not as nice as the original. Been using these for years to the point they're starting to wear out.

I think the only reason that the left click is dying first is because that's the button that gets clicked the most, so no need to get a left handed mouse for this reason. I have the same problem. Do you not reverse your mouse buttons in the Windows control panel? If you do, then I would expect your right button to wear out first.

This is what my one looks like:

Yes it's about time they started to using metal caps over the plastic that wears and maybe the switch button should be metal too as seen as the price people pay for them.

Funny you say that as a avid Arma gamer the right button gets held down a lot less clicks but more continuous clicking.

and no i do not switch buttons around.

Well a right handed mouse for a left handed person you have to be very care full, first of i would only recommend this if your a claw grip user and even then can pose a problem with the little finger which with my G700s i have solved with that hard foam you use to protect a video card from the bracket, which is funny as how it is makes it easier to pick up than it is with the right hand lol.

Unless your a gamer Logitech aka Logi is a very good mouse brand. I don't know about left handed ones though.
