Today we are going to test Lepa's new 1600W beast, the GA1600-MA, which is based on the Enermax Platimax platform. It is 80 PLUS Gold certified and with its huge power it can easily feed every PC system out there. It not only offers outstanding power, but also comes at very attractive pricing, cheaper than many competing products in this category.

Very good review, it would be interesting if more entry level and mainstream power supplies were reviewed too.

And cheap ones too for the masses, sometimes people need the cheapest psu they can find for low power pcs or even old pcs in need of a small budget conscious upgrade...

I wouldn't buy a 100$+ psu for a 150$ build...

Once you buy a good PSU, you don't need to upgrade for a long time .The efficiency of GPUs and CPUs increase from generation to generation.

I can replace my 4870x2 with a 690 without upgrading the PSU.

Same as me, i have a nice 850w psu enough for anything...
But if im to build a secondary pc based on an A4\6 apu or based on a celeron i would have no need for anything above 400w, just a nice stable and quite psu...

I will try to review more affordable PSUs in the future :)

However most times companies want to send only the best they have.

It's always about the bragging rights im sure...
And trying to sell more than we actually need for more than we can afford most of the time...

Well, keep up the good work...

So ill say this is Enermax Platimax 1500W review, lol good copy 100+w is on Enermax too (1650w pick, ill say it is more1780w.pick). i buy me Enermax P.1500w. Reality is , PSU's are made in a small factory , and beg PC conpany (Termaltacke,Corsair,Zalman..).Order 1500w PSU and sold on their name .Which factory is rely manufacturer. Now lets go too Lepa1600w. It's rely count on power PSU which give reliability .It is good for any OC. You wish.4 wey SLI or CrosFire will get enough and it will power all the rest of system (pumps, fans..).

im gonna need to upgrade the lines in my house before i can use this psu near its limit... if i could afford it. 15amp lines suck at 115v... mobile homes suck... but not this PSU. it looks pretty solid
