I have the uj6300 but I have a soundbar hooked up to mine since day 1. I can try and unhook it and see if I can get the same issue, but it sounds to me like a defect and nothing of your doing

30 mins no volume issues, is it under warranty still? If not grab a soundbar and just be done with the internal volume altogether :)

Any chance... the volume indicator is red... is that the same as yours

Check for Software/firmware updates on your tv, reset the tv to defaults, remove battery from remote and see if it stops doing it. There could be a setting that was enabled accidentally. Check all connections to tv and set top boxes/consoles. Its also possible a stb or console can cause this.

Do a general search on your tv on the web to see if it may be something common.

Lastly call LG Technical support.

Sitting on the remote came to my mind :D

Years ago I had a TV that the volume would just stay pinned at zero ,and the volume bar that pops up that shows what level it's at would just stay on the screen constantly. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what the Hell was wrong with it. turned out the volume rocker on the side of the TV had broken somehow , And as far as the TV was concerned it was like someone was standing there holding the volume down button.

I don't even want to say how long it took me to figure that nightmare out
