What's the latest new on the 2011, is it worth... it?
Coming from a four year old Q9650, upgrade will be early next year, after I move into my new home.

I'd OC. If you can't, pick up a better, used board to OC.

Even if you had a reason, Sandy would have been a better choice. SB-E costs too much while not offering any gains (in games) over Sandy. It also pulls more power and runs hotter.

i wait for 2011 too, but i wait for intel longterm socket
for today its too early to adopt 2011 since theres few stuff out there and they are pretty pricey

I would change up if you can/are willing to spend the money, if all you do is game then it would still give you a decent boost in games. but the real difference is in the video editing and multimedia work you may do with it.

wait until 2012, it is still too early to be sure what is around the corner and by then prices should drop
