The Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo is an evolution of the wildly successful O11 Dynamic. While it may look similar and sports a comparable size, there are plenty of tweaks and updates within the Evo that improve over the original on nearly all functional areas.

If it has 85mm clearance at the top or the side for a 60mm thick rad+fans with a 310mm GPU in the motherboard, i'd be interested in it when it comes in stock.

The o11's have always been expensive, mine was £165 with £40 discount. I guess its the old if you don't like the price don't buy it.

Imo this is still one of the best cases around for its versatility, and build options. A build in one of these always looks good.

Not too bad for a custom loop with 2x360 though, but i guess not everyone wants a custom loop.

i'm lazy. i want to stick a $125 420mm Arctic AIO on it, set a custom slightly aggressive fan curve. and off to gaming I go.

There's a lot of nice ideas with this case, but it starts falling apart the more you look at.

The Lack of 3x140mm support, lack of SKU's that just come with the Mesh front (adding to another cost and a waste of money on tempered glass front production), the innovative but ultimately tacky I/O situation necessitating yet another purchase (and front I/O being in a weird spot midway down the top of the case if you do), the front vertical GPU mount being ultimately useless, larger than e-ATX board's poorly supported and cutting into the side location based on fan/aio placement and the smaller feet harming bottom air intake.

It's also annoying that with a case that is focused on buying 'addons', that there is no hot swap option for the rear. I'd buy that in an instant personally regardless of my other case decisions.

Ultimately, I think it's worth waiting for the Evo XL, the bottom feet issue is particularly irksome, the bottom & top rad clearance only looks 'okay' and the I/O is just gross on a case that is this expensive without any fans.

your post just proves this is seriously overrated. I don't like the secondary power supply idea why put a hot box behind an already hot cpu socket.
I know some people might like this idea but how about support for not just 140mm and 200mm fans too. I'd really like a 200mm Rear fan just once on something. :/

You guys are just looking for pointless things to nitpick. PSUs don't get that hot unless you are maxxing it out. Also since the psu is inside it's own enclosure and not in direct contact it's thermally insolated. How do you thermos work?

It is a nice case and I considered waiting for it instead of the O11 Air Mini but I would have had to purchase the mesh front and the top IO. With both of those options and the initial case cost, it would likely be double the cost of the $99 O11 Air Mini. Furthermore, the O11 Air Mini has three included fans that seem to be decent fans (which I didn't end up using). The O11 Dynamic Evo has no fans included. If the O11 Dynamic Evo came with the mesh front and the top IO as standard options and it was around $125 in total, that would have been a better sell and more proportional to the cost of the O11 Air Mini.

If it is anything like the O11 Air Mini, which it is, the power supply doesn't get particularly hot in the back compartment. The power supply intakes directly through the side mesh panel, which breathes quite well, and then it exhausts out the back, so it doesn't really end up contributing too much heat to the rear compartment.

with optional add-ons price is quite astronomical.

Even without it's quite expensive. Looks great, but the recently launched O11 mini air for example is much better value if you don't plan to do a big custom loop. Hell even the regular O11 would be better, lacks cpu cooler clearance but that doesn't matter if you're doing a custom loop.

This case seems great but with the current price and "dlc" structure doesn't really seem like it ads anything positive

I like the GPU mount in the front, but on initial versions there was a solution with the pcie extension cable being routed behind the motherboard tray. Which may have been too long causing latency.
I don't like the way it is solved now as it doesn't have a clean look like this- if one also cares about aesthetic which I'd assume when going for this case.

They could have made a PCB style extension card instead of this chunky cable.
But it will be way more costly.

You still could route behind MB using a straight/180 riser, unfortunately the included riser is a left/270.

I don't understand why they decided to put the front IO at the front bottom of the case, and didn't give an option to mount it at the front top like on the original O-11 Dynamic. The extra top panel you can buy to install the IO into also makes zero sense. If it wasn't for that stupidity, this would be my next chassis.

It's the price of modularity and customizability. Unless you want to customize it into something very unique and are willing to pay through the nose this case is a terrible deal when the O11 dynamic/mini/air mini are a thing at half the a lower price.

edit: thought it was more expensive than it is, still all the dlc mods...
