I really dont want to see TPU doing the XS thing of charging for "premium" accounts.

You can always download the messages then emtpy the inbox.

any reason why you would want to keep all those old messages? if you just want to archive them, use download to xls/csv/txt and then empty folder?

I do believe that W1zz meant "XML".

I could write a small, lightweight application that would parse through the XML file and sort/filter/display the messages if you would like. Actually, there are several people who have a gajillion messages and may find something like that useful.

It would take me a little while, but it's not too hard.

Indeed, what possible use would you have for messages over a few weeks old?

    1. Sometimes I go back and leave heat on my free time.

    2. When considering a trade or purchase with someone I like to see if I have traded with them before.

Those are just a few reasons. ;)

Don't know if this helps or not, but whenever my PM box gets full I just do this:

    Then clear out my box.

Wow I just delete mine. I don't worry about trading with people, the rest of TPU handles that for me. I can see how long they've been a member and if other people are buying off said "trader" (well... good hunting, Stalker).
