As the title suggests. List out your main rig's spec and then illustrate out what you plan to upgrade within the next 12 months. I am talking REAL planned upgrades, not day dreaming of filling up your machine with 4 TitanXp and etc.

Well look at my specs and you will see my main system, as for upgrades but waiting for a video card thats worth it and with the current games that are out now nothing's been worth upgrading.

From my spec i am planning on adding a m2 ssd and another mx200 for RAID0 with my current mx200. Still debating whether i should sell my D15 for EKWB predator280.

The GTX660 Ti can stay for now (I would upgrade the rest of the system before this GPU), but if I had the option right now, I'd go for a GTX1050Ti or a GTX1060.

I plan on upgrading to a X300 (I believe that is the ITX chipset for AM4) motherboard and a ryzen 5 1600x, vega (assuming it turns out to be decent) and a 1440p monitor

And another 4gb DDR3L RAM for the notebook (mostly to improve IGP performance).

If an A8 7600 is enough for me (had it for some days), a Zen must be excellent.

I am assuming a quad core 8 thread RyZen APU? That does sounds delicious, if AMD pairs it up with a 470 level GPU inside

Nothing really, will be keeping the rig on my specs for as many years as i possibly can.
(and they should be a lot, i run very specific programs for which i'm already beyond covered and the games i like are getting fewer and fewer and they aren't GPU-taxing in the first place)

[admittedly, so says i now, lol, but... yeah..]

- I do however plan to finish the rig i'm building for my dad (1800x from silicon lottery, guaranteed 4.1GHz), waiting to see what comes after the May agesa update in terms of 370 mobos. Being my dad, i'll just get whatever i think is best per category, even though i know he's never, ever going to utilize it, lol (he plays Solitaire and occasionally, occasionally, stresses his PC beyond limits by opening his Internet Explorer! Extreme!)

- Plan n2 entails upgrading the rig we have upstairs. It has a 2core AMD APU the name of which i forget right now, lol, but it's one of the shitty ones.. A2 or A4 i think? We only use it to check our emails and browse for the weather, cooking recipes, stuff like that, so nothing pressing. When the Ryzen APUs come out, i'll get down to it.

My specs are under my System specs and I have no plans at all to upgrade as I just upgraded to one of the most powerful systems AMD makes and I doubt they'll do better anytime soon, though if Vega comes out I might get one of those next year.

I plan to replace the i3 2100 in my brothers PC to something like a i5 2400/2500/3330,3350p eventually, and adding an aftermarket cooler (TX3 or something similar, don't like those stock temps). GPU part was taken care of recently.

Only thing I can say for my upgrading plan is that it involves a Aorus board and tempered glass not to give away too much not planning on changing out my GTX 1070 even it might look a bit missed placed because MSI still hanging onto there black/red design colour seem and I don't feel like painting the shroud of the gfx to ruin warranty.

My main rig is in the system specs and signature. I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon, but when the time will come I will add additional 16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws V RAM. That might happen in a 1-1,5 year time frame from now, but definitely not earlier. After that, I will not replace or upgrade anything (unless something goes kaputt) until 2022, since I prefer replacing the whole system after approx. 6 years.

Some upgrades will happen. One of them is finding a Haswell i3/i5 on the cheap. That would really be quite sufficent for me. If I have the money for it I might in the fall go for a Ryzen hexacore, with a basic motherboard and a 16GB DDR4 stick, and later go to 32GB. Size is more important to me than speed. Also my X-fis are behaving strangely, so that would be a good time to get something new.

Plan B is, again if money will work out, to do the i3/i5 upgrade and just get a new monitor, maybe even 4K. I can't do both.

GPU is fine for me. More than fine actually. I have a feeling the motherboard is on its way out though, and I have warranty on it a while longer, but the store where I bought it filed for bankrupcy just weeks ago, so there's that.

The panic upgrade if the motherboard does fail is to get a LGA1151 motherboard with 4xDDR3 and PCI (those exists for about €70-80) and that Pentium with HT.

It is pretty annoying to be limited to a mATX case tbh.

My upgrade plans are kinda stalled with Ryzen's OC capability falling short. That was my go-to path but the practical difference with an i5 3570k is just too small to justify it, and paying premium for another 4c CPU is not going to happen.

Later-on I may upgrade my i5 6500 to a i7 6700K.

If I run out of storage space I will probably buy a Intel 600p 512GB M.2.

I game at 1080p so when i swap hd 7970 for gtx 970 my pc will be complete. I wont make any more changes till something breaks.

My mobo and cpu are only 7 years old so i am anticipating many more years of 12 threaded loveliness.

I am not sure if you know but I have a problem when it comes to new stuff I can't help it when the itch comes

You can find my current rig in the specs, in the past 12 months I've basically upgraded almost everything. I started with the GPU (from SLI of GTX 970 to single GTX 1080) this was because I've upgraded the monitor to a crazy Acer Predator X34 some months earlier. Then I thought I need some 5.1 speakers so I sold my 2.1 Microlab FC360 and bought a Logitech Z906, after that in a couple of days I bought a new PSU the EVGA G2 650. Just a couple of months later I got a full bundle of MB+CPU+RAM because I thought my 4690k @ 4.6Ghz paired with the Z97 and 16GB of DDR 2133Mhz was not enough for gaming.

Then one month later I thought I need an M.2 SSD so I bought a Crucial MX300 275GB. This was not enough...so I decided to buy a gaming laptop as well...this happened last week

And that is not all, I bought so many "little things" (hardware and software) along the way that I can't even remember now

So in conclusion I think I might need some professional help.

P.S In the next 12 months one thing is sure I will get a new GPU but with me you never know
