I have my e6600 at 3.2Ghz right now at 1.275vcore(bios) and it idles at 31C (Coretemp and Speedfan, 33C for TAT) and loads at 50C (52C TAT) using Orthos priority 9 SFF.
I have taken it stable to 3.6Ghz at 1.4625vcore and it idles at around 39C (43 TAT) and loads in orthos SFF to 62C (65C TAT). These temps will obviously go up if I stress using TAT.
I'd like to keep my CPU at 3.6Ghz daily and have gamed a few hours with it at this OC and temps never got over 52C.
Just wondering what programs people (and hardware review sites) use to stress their CPU's when they report "Load 55C" or whatever temp. TAT? Orthos blend/SFF? Just a couple of hours of Gaming?
Comments/opinions appreciated. Thx
