Locking up issue

I have a slight issue. My system keeps locking up for no reason. I can't find anything wrong with any of the cooling. I have my processor running at 2.9Ghz, RAM running at 1066, varied both of them to run mint to my performance liking but I keep locking up during random times. Unfortunately I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate with all of the updates current. All of the drivers are current and proven to work correctly. CPU runs at between 21 and 32 celcius and GPU runs between 31 and 48 depending if i'm running crysis or not.
These are the specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core black edition
OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB
PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W
MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum AM2+/AM2
Nvidia Geforce 9500GT 1GB
Scythe SCNJ-2000 120mm
XION Onyx XON-303

Those temps are fine. Is there overclocking involved here?

If not, have you added any new components since this has occured?

If not, how old is the system?

It's a brand new build. Slight overclocking with the processor from 2.7 to 2.9GHz, and OC with RAM from 700 to 1066 but it was locking up before I OC'd anything. Ran memtest and DFT to check for parity errors and everything checked out fine for the RAM and HDD.

i assume they're rated for 800 mhz, the ram. set to default settings in the bios just to take out the overclock

I'm under a very good impression that it might be Vista. Which sucks because XP 64 just isn't enough for what I need.

Hybrid Theory. Thank you for your interest. I found out what it was. Wasn't systematic hardware at all. It was MSI's wonderful Dual Core Center software that was running in the background, I started getting a bluescreen and traced it back to the physical memory dump file. It was a massive log of crashes that kept rebooting my computer and causing an OC conflict.

Are there any system monitoring tools for temps and speeds that you recommend?
