Okay, so to make a long story short, I installed a different motherboard in an ole Alienware case.

I would really like to have the original Alienware logo come up when the system is starting to boot.........Just for the aesthetics I guess. LOL

Is there a way to flash a motherboard bios with logo's?

By the way, this is an actual Alienware, not a Dell Alienware.

Thanks in advance

Actually I kind of thought about this process. The board is in fact an Asus board so I started doing a little research on the "MyLogo" from Asus.

Well, this board being an ole S775 board, couldn't use MyLogo 2, 3, or ROG. However, for future reference if anyone else is trying to flash a logo on an ole nostalgic board such as this Asus P5Q-E I'll give a run down:

First, go to the Asus site and look up your board. Once you find that get to the downloads that have bios, drivers, etc...

Download Asus Update

Unzip the folder and run the "Setup" to install the update utility.

Once the update utility is installed, find the latest bios available. Download that to a folder of your choice.

Now look under the Asus Update and you'll find "MyLogo." Start that app.

It will ask you to point to the original bios file. Navigate to where you just saved your new bios or the one that you downloaded even if your currently running that same bios version

Once that is located click next. Then it will ask you to find the image you wish to load for the boot up logo.

Locate what ever logo you want (640 x 480 limit), then click next again. It will tell ya that it is going to replace the original image with the one you selected. Click next.

It will confirm that it changed the image. Now exit "MyLogo" app.

Next, fire up Asus Update.

use the drop down menu to select "Update from saved file."

Select the .rom bios file that you have saved and updated with your image choice.

Now go through the bios flash.

And then it will prompt you to reboot. Reboot and your done.

I know, kind of a PITA on older hardware but it worked great.

Found some very sweet custom Alienware logo's and used one of them! :toast:

Now I am doing some research to find the "easiest" way to do the same with an EVGA 790i Ultra SLi board in the other Alienware. :p

Not having much luck.
