Noctua 80x80x25 fans

There might be other options, like industrial high speed fans but thats a lot of noise then...

Home PC, and noise is an issue; no problem with the funky Noctua brown.

I after the longest lasting 80 x 80 x 25 four pin fan; any suggestions?

Plenty of 80mm fans with FDB bearings out there.

I'd stick to the Noctua NF-R8, Arctic F8 or Arctic P8 if you don't want to break the bank but want a solid fan.

I've also got the NF-A8, but I honestly wouldn't overpay for it over the NF-R8. It does everything with no fuss and little noise. Also, A8 is brown, and the R8 and Arctic fans doesn't make you pay extra for a neutral colour scheme.

Honestly, subjectively I feel like the R8 actually beats out the A8 on noise for half the price. Not tried the two Arctic fans but the P8 looks quite good and comes in a 5-pack.

Great picks here, Arctics are great for value :)

Yes, I prefer FDB over ball as the first stay quiet with age; many thanks for all the great suggestions.

Call me crazy, but I actually prefer the Noctua blades better than the heavily swept forward arctic blades; silly I know, but there it is.

Gonna be a dissenting voice on Arctic. Good for the price, but my experiences with them re: longevity are... not particularly positive.

Longevity is what I am after here; the grey Noctua looks good.
