EA is a plague upon the gaming world, they really just dampen the whole industry and make it all worse, they have gotten so bad I would put them as conspirators to destroy the gaming community. I remember when I use to like it when I saw the EA emblem, I knew it would be solid, now I cringe.

I agree EA is a curse.

EA does have tthree exceptions: Spore (expansion coming soon), The Godfather (2 is coming soon), and Mass Effect (sequel is coming by the end of the year). Beyond that, yeah, all rubbish. They could all be done better but they are all worth playing at least once.

Well, spore and Mass Effect were good b/c they came from Maxis and Bioware respectively, companies who continually make solid games. That's why I said I cringe, b/c EA seems to have their hand in just about everything, but how much of a hand depends. Mass Effect, although fantastic, was rushed, there's really no doubt about it. The game could have been more than it was, but Microsoft I'm sure had pressure w/ that too (major Xbox release). Spore, while intriguing and ambitious, didn't hook me the same way SimCity and The Sims did before it, but that's just me. I don't know, I guess I really shouldn't say I know that much about what goes on behind the scenes, b/c I don't, perhaps EA is a great company. From what I see though, unless they are simply backing another good company their games have become utter crap, and they try to ruin other companies games w/ useless securom, and other various decisions that seem soley based at giving the comp gaming world a big middle finger.

The witcher enhanced edition and oblivion are both REALLY good medieval games.

Try overlord for a medieval semi-rpg, and in the strategy section: medieval II total war by sega.

Just because mount and blade doesn't have the best reviews, there are several updates that will allow multiplayer and better graphics. From a friend's review, he said horse handling is better than oblivion's (also horse back fights)

I think the Elderscrolls III MOrrowind had a better story line, weapons and atmosphere that Oblivion lacked. If Morrowind had Oblivion Graphics I'd be playing it a lot more.

Point is, if you haven't played it yet, get Morrowind.

oops, forgot about morrowind!

Word of warning: oblivion gameplay=/=morrowind gameplay. Morrowind imo is harder than oblivion, but tgm kinda kills difficulty :p
