Looking for a narrow midi tower.

Hi I am looking to swap my system as the tower I have is to large for where I want to move it to. I want to keep the same gpu and cpu but I was hoping to get a smaller cpu cooler.

That's the thing. Today's cases have gotten fatter in order to accommodate the taller coolers. You're most likely going to have to find an older case, but with that comes lower air flow rates.

I like my Lian Li PC A05, its a full ATX case but externally quite small, but they are hard to find now its been a few years since they were sold. I have 3 A05NB and one A05FN. They aren't necessarily thin though.

Really narrow towers are likely to be mATX or ITX.

The Thermaltake Core G3 ATX Slim Small Form Factor is a very narrow case. Uses a SFF power supply. The graphics card attaches to a PCI-E ribbon cable, if that is a hassle you are willing to deal with, and the stock riser cable sounds inadequate from the reviews. Also the quality doesn't seem very high.
Lastly, not really sure where you can order one in the UK.

Looking at the specs that case is 10mm narrower than the one you currently have. Does a difference that small actually matter?

When you @cookiemonster say "narrower" I am thinking Cooler Master Elite 630/ 631, but those are discontinued. Or Daotech M011 , or Bellum X10 , but those are hard to find in EU. All of these fit standard ATX mother board, standard ATX PSU, but for GPU you need to be careful.

Question to the OP: When you say "narrower", do you actually mean width (as in: measured across the shortest dimension of the front panel or top panel of the case), or do you mean depth (as in: measured from the front of the case to the back of the case)? 'Cause the latter is the only significant change I can see between the case you linked and the case you have (well, yours is taller too, but I struggle to see how that might be called "width"). If you are looking for a shallower ATX case, there ought to be plenty of options, but narrower will be far more difficult while maintaining ATX support. There are plenty of nice and tiny SFF cases for ITX though

The above cases should even fit large air coolers (check before buying!). All of them are also quite recent designs.

These are nice cases but they aren't particularly narrower than most ATX which seem to be around 210MM thick. By comparison, the extremely narrow cases are like <180mm.
Thermaltake Core G3 is 140mm
Lian Li PC-07S is 148mm
Fractal Design Node 605 is 163mm
Silverstone GD09B is 169 mm
Silverstone GD10B is 171mm
Sliger Cerberus X is 172mm
Silverstone GD08 is 175mm


The 605, GD08, GD09B, GD10B would have to be rotated clockwise, they are intended to be HTPC horizontal cases.

Not sure Zalman cases are really any good, they kind of make a lot of junk. However, I had a friend with a Zalman FC-ZE1 back in the day though and it was an extremely high quality tank of a case.
