Well recently i had bought the gigabyte 7950 but seems the new card will not take any bios and they are voltage locked. I am not interested it in the card anymore so i have went ahead and returned it. Wanted to ask your guys opinion on what card should i get next that is not voltage locked. I would like to know, any help would be appreciated it.

Even at Stock BIOS F42, i can not over clock from 900 to 1000 since the card is locked. Please advise me on what card to get i would like to stick with amd if possible.

Currently installed back my asus 6950 flashed to 6970

Reference design. Not locked in any way. Good price!

Ah okay, you didn't mention a price range. As far as 7950 beating a 7970 well.. that 7970 can overclock too. :)

This Sapphire card isn't voltage locked:

SAPPHIRE 100352-2L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR...

wanted to ask what if i did get a EVGA GTX 670 FTW, will i get good performance or will get more performance from getting a 7950?

Forget the highlighted ones as they are 7970's and overclocked. I just pulled this from the most recent gpu review. I put this here to show that the 670 is faster than the 7950 at stock. They both overclock well too.

I just picked up the Sapphire 7970 Newegg has on MIR for $330. It's already showing as sold out though. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it.

I personally have a 7970 and I highly recommend if you can find one for a good price.

I just did a quick search on newegg for graphics cards between $290-$310 and only got 570's 580's 660ti's and 7950's. Out of all those I would go 7950. If you can get a 670 680 or 7970 for a good price do it though.

Like this 670 is $330 with $20 rebate. Frag said he just got a 7970 for that price and that is the better option still. Plus amd gives you those 3 games.

Ditto on the Sapphire card recommendation as the nVidia cards for now have issues with Direct X 11.1-

It really is up for you to decide but I would tell you which card I think is the best choice if the link worked. I think it is only a partial link.

Such as? Also AMD has issues running multiple screens using HDMI ( I run a 7950 so no bias here) so that may well be a consideration, personally I love the gaming performance of my 7950 and OC it can beat out OC 7970's and 670/680's (1200mhz+ core OC)

Guys guys... all gpu's have some problems or another.

I don't know much about how keplers overclock, I have heard good things, but the 7900 series has some beastly overclocks. My 7970 can do 1200mhz on air stable. Runs a little hot for my taste but stable. Sonda5 has a 7950 at 1300mhz with watercooling. I am pretty sure my 7970 can hit that also once I get my watercooling loop up.

AMD 12.11 drivers and overclocking firmly places the 7950 above the 670 in pure performance

The first thing I notice about the 2L is the price. This card should overclock really well but for the cheapest. It has the same cooler as my 7970, which does a good job and is pretty quiet below 75%. A good card for a good price.

The flex card has "Flex technology" for eyefinity. If you have or plan on doing eyefinity this might be the best choice.

The vapor card is a beast. Probably one of the best 7950's out there. The vapor cooler is just great. This card probably has higher binning for better overclocking if that is important to you. This card also happens to have been reviewed by tpu here.

Its a tough choice between the 2L and vapor. Is the $30 worth it for you?

What about the XFX Double D Edition? I have heard those are locked maybe? I might go with the vapor edition, not doing eyeinfinity anytime soon.
