Hi, I got a bricked Sapphire 580 Pulse from a friend, and I'm trying to make it work properly again.
I'm using a CH341A programmer and flashrom.
Out of all the Pulse 8GB BIOSes available to download on this site, only this one worked: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191403/sapphire-rx580-8192-170310
However, it's very unstable, it crashes under load with no overclocks, and the drivers don't pick it up as a Sapphire card.
Here's all the info I've gathered about the card, from the sticker on the bottom
SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX 580 8G GDDR5 DUAL HDMI / DVI-D / DUAL DP OC W/BP (UEFI) (some chinese writing at the end idk)
PN 299-4E353-030FC
SKU# 11265-16
AMD Drivers picked it up as 1002-67DF-1DA2-E353.

If anyone has this exact card, please help me out by uploading the BIOS!

For @eidairaman1 to find the right BIOS, you will need pics of the all the stickers on the card and maybe of the memory chips under the heatsink.

I found this https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/197940/197940 BIOS which supports Micron RAM and it seems to be working fine, even though its still not the same part number, but I looked for exact BIOS I needed here through most of the unverified ones, and couldn't find it, so I guess I'll live with this for now

edit: nvm, still crashes under load...

here's a GPU-Z screenshot if that's any help

So from googling, the full chinese name of this card seems to be
蓝宝石RX580 8G D5 白金版 OC
from the specs section of their official website: https://www.sapphiretech.com/zh-cn/consumer/pulse-rx-580-8g-g5-oc_c
The SKU is 11265-16-48 , the techpowerup product page is https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/sapphire-pulse-rx-580-8-gb.b6733

from googling the chinese name, I found a bios for the micro vram version of the card:
https://download.csdn.net/download/luxyatt/10924350
However the catch is that download site requires payment to be made before you can download, which is a total scam.

Can't find any other download links that's not scammy, sorry.

Damn, that's so scummy, charging for a BIOS download... Oh well. I contacted Sapphire directly in hopes that maybe they could provide me the right BIOS for the card.

Those all match your device id and subsystem id,

If you notice on your sku sticker it shows the subsystem id, those are the most compatible in our list, all support micron ram.

If anything i would compare each and every ram timing between files and use the loose one.

Hopefully that card hasnt been damaged.

My only concern is that on the product page link that divinebaboon posted, it shows the core speed as 1284mhz, vs 1366 and 1100 on the BIOSes you posted.

Well get flashing lol

Sorry for taking so long.
I tested the BIOSes in the order that you posted them, from top to bottom.
Benchmark is Unigine Heaven on Extreme @ 1080p.
WHQL driver, every setting at stock.
One thing to note, every time it crashes, the fans start spinning at 100% and won't stop until I power cycle.

BIOS 1: Was already on the card, boots, crashes after about 2 minutes.
BIOS 2: Boots, crashes around the same time.
BIOS 3: Boots, crashes after 6 minutes.

My hypothesis now is that the card simply overheats, though this doesn't make much sense since I replaced the thermal paste, made sure all the pads are in place, made sure that both fans work and didn't touch any OC settings.
It also doesn't make sense how it would crash *instantly* after putting on some load. (Back then I used UserBenchmark for a light GPU load, but still)

BIOS 4: Boots, passes the benchmark (score is 1151, terrible), doesn't get too loud, but this is the 1100mhz BIOS, so I'm not surprised

BIOS 5: Boots, but crashes when I load the benchmark or even on the desktop. The fans stay quiet after it crashes though, which is new.
BIOS 6: Boots, benchmark runs at 10-15 fps, gave up immediately.
BIOS 7: Boots, same thing as BIOS 6.

I will stay on 4 for now since it seems to be stable, even though its not running at the right speed.

Might need to get polaris bios editor and try a 1366 bios at 1288 or 1340. Or volts need to be higher

So... Sapphire replied to me and attached the original BIOS for this exact card that they found from the serial number... but it's the same BIOS that eidaraman1 provided, the very first one.
It obviously kept crashing, so I decided to log it with GPU-Z. I noticed that the last line on the log before it crashes shows the power draw at 147w, and the power limit on this BIOS is 155w. So I decided to increase the power limit in WattMan by all 30% that it allows, and that immediately fixed the crashing. It won't boost to its max frequency however... it stayed at around 1100Mhz, fans at max, and temp at 79 C.

Replace the thermal compound and pads. Good stuff please.

Its plausible the card was abused by a miner

Already done that, pads were salvaged from a different dead GPU (they were relatively new) and paste was replaced with Arctic MX-4

I just looked it up and it sounds interesting, I'll try it if I can find any washers
