Looking for a way to Limit FPS

Hi,

I'm looking for a program or a way to cap my FPS in PC games.

I've already found the perfect software for it called "bandicam"... But it costs 40$... I've been using it illegally, but I've decided to "change my bad ways" and pay for stuff now... or find it free of charge (legally of course...) somewhere...

So aside from Fraps and bandicam, for which you have to pay, is there some way of capping the FPS in games ???

Can't you just force vsync in the drivers?

I have a very particular situation with my monitor where I get a lot of micro-stutter when v-sync is on and that I'm running 60FPS...

In games like BF3, I need the FPS to be limited at 59 FPS and the stutter goes away for good...

can you set the refresh rate of your monitor to 59mhz and then force V-sync?

Check out the latest beta of MSI Afterburner. There is a selection in this version to limit fps. I have not tried it yet, but it should work as advertised. Guru3d had it listed in their download area.
