recently updated my 8800 GTS drivers to 314.07 and using built into windows xp64 philips magnavox 109s monitor drivers but now I can't use all the res/refresh modes that I could use before..

I used to be able to select all the resolution and refresh modes available to my monitor.. 640x480 at 140hz, 800x600 at 120 hz and 1024x768 at 100hz

after the driver update all I see is 60hz 75hz and 85hz for all the res modes.. I dunno what happened but now I can't use 100hz at 1024x768 or 120hz at 800x600 that I got used to with my COD4 game.. I remember having to put the res/refresh modes into the registry manually but can't find the info on how to do that again. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.. Coodiggy..

Tried looking for windows registry mods but didn't find anything so I reverted to the older version drivers.. Got it fixed a few minutes ago by reverting to driver version 180.xx for the 8800gts... Thanks for looking though and if it's worth the info I'll post my follow up on the issue/resolution.. Even though the newer drivers supported the 8800GTS, I think they were curtailed to current LCD's default refresh rates instead of the old standby's/tried and true CRT's..

The new geforce drivers seemed to lack support for the higher refresh rates of the old CRT, even with the old CRT having a native INF in xp64.. Once I reverted to 180.xx drivers I was able to select all the supported refresh rates/resolutions of my old 19" crt :)

Why play at such a high speed / low resolution?

mainly cause the games (cod4 n css) that I've been playing feel smoother/more responsive at the lower res/higher refresh rates.
