Looking for a nice lightweight laptop with great battery life and enough power to run 2-3 instances of bluestacks. Hopefully 8gb + ram and a 1920+ resolution as well.

I was thinking maybe Samsung or asus ... but haven’t been laptop shopping in like 10 years haha.

What should I be looking into these days?

1920×1080 used to be 15".

Is this going to be used as a mobile gaming server due to 3 instances of bluestacks or are you going to game on it?

Remember thinner laptops are poor on cooling so it may thermally throttle.

The first thing you need to do is list a budget and probably if you want new or gently used for that money.

A little bit of gaming. Basically a mobile game or 2. Nothing real intense.

Budget doesn’t really matter as long as I get the wants. New laptop as I’ve never had luck with used and battery life won’t be as good as it should be.

If you are a stickler for needing a budget... something sub $2k

Ya the asus zenbook looks really solid to me. The Samsung 9 does as well.

Not sure about the Microsoft surface book, but it seems to have a great battery life to it.

You should also state what size screen you want.
Okay, then this.

Screen size I am good with either 13" or 15"

I would but it is not lightweight, and I cant upgrade the SSD. Also does not talk about screen resolution or battery life .... soooo it really didnt hit any of my wants, minus being a laptop :)

Choose a 2000$ Dell laptop. Dell is best.
If not Dell then HP Zbook or such for 2000-3000$.

900-1300$ Asus and MSI -gaming laptops are made cheaply.
Forget: Lenovo, Acer, Fujitsu, MS Surface...

Is dell really the best laptop maker out there? I have always considered a Dell 3rd world lol. I have always had issues with my work dells.

The one reason I’m leaning to Samsung is the nifty integration with the Samsung phones. But it’s not a necessity to have.

Mine 2006 Dell Precision M65 (Res.1680x1050) works flawlessly on Win10 64-bit, original battery lasts +2 hours. Remember to only buy the very top end Dell models >2000-4000$ when new. Not the <1000$ Dell models and you be fine.
Cheap companies buy ( nowadays only lease ) the lower quality line Dells.

ASUS has shitty customer service. Nice product but horrible support.

I would suggest a Lenovo Y520 with GTX1060

That seems a bit too gamey for me. only a 6 hour battery life is not ideal.
