hi all
been a while since iv been here....well i need ur guys advice once more
i want to buy a graphics card.....a budget 1 at that i have around 50-60£ to spend i cud go higher maybe if the card had siginificant gains...anyways i need a card that doesnt require external power and one that will give best performance for money...
any suggestions?
look, the bottom line here is i think what your really asking is what is the best way to improve your computer with 50-60£ to spend.
i think your computer is too old to really be worth it to buy a newer video card because in my opinion it will not give you what your hoping for and just magnify how slow the rest of the computer is. your X800gt is still a great video card and is all your system needs.
i think you are better off not spending money on it and look to slowly over time save for a new system and when you are ready, sell your system and do a complete new build.
my suggestion on switching ram to 2 sticks instead of 4 might and i repeat might give you a little better performance and after you sell your old ram you have spent very little money to do it.
your x800gt sells for 25£ and compares to the nvidia geforce 6800 performance wise.
if your getting a video card then get the ATi HD2600XT and expect to pay around 50-75£
this video card will give you an improvement in video quality but i wouldnt spend money on a system like yours.
