So if I do get the Q9550 I would see a performance boost right even at stock speed I should see some improvement and when over clocked it should be big right ?
the increase would be minimal, and your not bottlenecking your system with your oc on the q6600 so performance in games would be like 2-4 fps. not worth the extra ~$300+ for 2-4fps.
get another GTX 260, that'll show a MUCH greater performance upgrade than a new CPU, going from a q6600 to the q9550 is like going from an e7200 to e8500, and upgrade but not worth the extra dough.
