try the radeon 4770. its slightly slower than the 4850, but uses a decent amount less power and outputs a fair amount less heat.

after looking at prices on the egg, the 4850 is the better deal. its cheaper after MIR, and you get a free game.

well the one you linked to seems to have a decent fan.

if you get a new PSU, get one with a 120mm fan, it will improve the cooling somewhat.

May not have to upgrade the psu if you go with a 4670, granted a 4770 would be quite a bit ahead of it in performance.

Oh and a 2600xt is enough to play Sims 3 with medium visuals @1280x720. But if she is wishing to play anything else, might as well get the good stuff right?

Hell i have not even got a video card for my rig yet still playing on the onboard

Also can you link me to the specs of the case your using. Does it use low profile PCI brackets?

Well if you upgrade your psu try a ATI 4830 your cpu wont do much better than that and it's a small card

Just by taking a quick peak, you shou;dn't have a problem with full height cards. IMO, 4670 without new psu or 4770 with new psu is best worthwhile I can think of also.
