Lost Ark

Has anyone checked out Lost Ark? I just saw it appear on Steam and it looks like they are starting a Beta soon. You can get access by buying a founders pack. Looks to be a mix of Diablo and MMORPGs. I've heard only good things. Has anyone here played the Alpha?

a guy at my workplace is playing the closed beta of it. He really likes it and recommends me to get it. Its supposed to be free but there is a founders pack for cosmetic stuff or whatever.

I played on the Russian server with VPN for a month or so when it was new there, made 1 max level 'at the time' char but then I stoped cause I wanted to play an English relase instead and waited.

I had quite a lot of fun with it, can't speak for much of the end game like Raids and such but the parts that I played was solid.

To me the game felt more like a mix of a ARPG and Blade&Soul, combat is not as fast and spammy as most ARGPs like Diablo but it does feel impactful especially the higher level skills.

Also the game ran perfectly, dare to say it was the best running MMO I ever tried/played.

I will definitely play it when its out, I kinda quited playing MMOs years ago but I'm willing to give this a chance.

Awesome, Yea it looks really good. Its not really an MMO is the regular sense is it? It's more like PoE or Diablo 3 where you have instances right?

Well no, its actually an MMO just the same camera view as Diablo/PoE.

It does have instanced Raids and even world bosses that require a ton of ppl to beat and generally a lot of big open maps with other players around.

And that was 1+ year ago when I played the last time, game is getting updates and supposedly had a huge summer update recently on the KR server so we might get that with the EU/NA relase.
It really is not a simple mob blaster like D3 or PoE, this game requires a lot of time if you don't want to be left behind ala full scale MMOs.

Its a fun game don't get me wrong but for simply Diablo and other similar ARPG players it might have too much crap to deal with on a daily/weekly basis cause yea MMO design.
