Make Heatware obligatory while creating FS/FT threads

Something like this is my idea... Would lessen mods' workload, and make sure there is Heatware

Oh and after one time, it saves the link and it appears everytime you make a new FS/FT thread

It would be nice to somehow get people to leave Heat more, but there's no way TPU can force that (that I know of—correct me if I'm wrong, anyone).

Was hoping kind of like a "buyers/sellers" tab in the user CP. Once you bought something it automatically goes into that tab (started off with an application submitted to the mods, same application goes to the buyer therefore in a binding agreement) that can then be updated with shipping details and then finally heat feed back. Say an automatic PM reminder every day ~5days after purchase.


Although i understand that that would involve a mountain of work for the coders/w1zz

I'm newly registered with Heat(without any transactions yet). I just purchased some parts off of Erocker and I will leave feedback for sure.

I think this is a great idea and would deffinitely help the community. The only problem I see from what WhiteLotus has sugested is that "some" people will simply ignore the reminders anyways. As far as I know, even Fleabay can't force someone to leave feedback on a transaction. Still, excellent ideas though...

would be some kind of idea, just make the print error function do a popup and tell them to fill it in. Who knows im sure Wiz would find a way

but nice idea, would be an extra reminder for sellers, and also would help with the need of asking them to add it.

Then when it is filled in it just creates a link in the same area where the badges are located under our sigs. Maybe even make a button that matches the other badges.

And perhaps not allow creation of new threads in the the B/S/T section unless that option is filled out.

I support this idea, Heatware is mandatory anyways and people should know why it's in place as much as how to set up an account.

That gets my vote. Great idea, and newtekie1 added a great suggestion. The more automated the process of this is, the more likely someone creating a thread is to use it (or in fact to not need to remember to use it as the case may be).

great idea, my suggestion would be to keep my idea, but that once you put it , it says it in your user CP, and that you have to the choice to just add it in your user CP also. Then when you create a new thread, it automatically fills it in?

basically both our ideas combined.

I like your idea better n-ster. Purely because you can only submit a thread if you have included heat. Although if you could get it automatically filled out then that would be a bonus.

Yea, it should be automatically filled out once you put it once... I like the badge idea though, so including it in User CP could be nice too

It's already required, so if W1zzard can put it in the post box some way without too much effort than sure why not. If it's too much trouble than oh well. Not really a game changer just an added convenience.
